Creative Teaching: An Islamic Perspective
Abstract
This paper discusses the creative teaching from the Islamic perspective outlining instances from the teaching of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) through the content analysis method. A thematic exegesis approach was used to identify the saying of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) through a careful selection of some examples during his lifetime. These includes methodology of human being, methodology of the universe, analogy, methodology of unseen (Ghayb), congregational sermons, storytelling, demonstration, and problem. However, the conventional perspective was considered on domain relevant skills, creativity relevant processes, task motivation and the social environment. This analysis concluded that Muslims should emulate Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from his personal life.
